Company E, 3rd Michigan Infantry

Lewis, enlisted at Grand Rapids, Michigan on February 8, 1864 for 3 years service at the age of 18. He was transferred to Company E, 5th Michigan Infantry on June 10, 1864. He was mustered out of the service at Jeffersonville, Indiana on July 3, 1865.
