This is for the Hero's who died at Fort Hood, and all those Hero's who are left to carry on!

In April 17,1861 Virginia seceded from the Union of the United States. President Lincoln's main goal for the war was to "preserve the union"(1). Lincoln and the U.S.A. saw the southern states as "treasonous"(2) and did not except the idea of secession as our founding fathers did with England but maintained the south was part of the Union after secession(3). Therefore Lincoln never excepted the idea of the Confederate States of America (C.S.A.) as their own country.

American Civil War writers

It is nice to see so many new writers have chosen to join this site.
I hope there are many others who take this decision to go with us.
Together we will write the story that our children will read.

Here you can see who has chosen to join us

And here you can see some of what we can offer you as a member

The best thing about all this is that it costs nothing.

In May of 2010 I'm going to be involved in a very unique reenacting event. Its name is "March for Redemption". It will involve a fund raising march of some 150 miles. The premise of the event is that a small group of Federal soldiers desert their post at Harpers Ferry and go home. We will leave Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, and will go across the Potomac River to the top of Maryland Heights. We will then follow the Appalachian Trail to a place near the small town of Whisky Spring, Pennsylvania.
