Description

I had this site pointed out to me, by someone who researches mostly the STETLER'S and early American history, genealogy-named Dean THOMSON. Lot's of CONFEDERATE info. http://www.footnote.com/

After reading the only book one of my GG Grandfather's a John H. (Henry) LEWIS b. 1835 in Portsmouth, VA, dec'd 1917 at one of his daughter's home's in Washington DC. I have become even more interested in the Confederate's in Washington DC, which are rarely mentioned, except that they were sometimes, imprisoned there and convicted or went their to petition the government of LINCOLN for clemency.
