Any information on the 188th New York Infantry

My Great Great Grandfather fought with the 188th New York Infantry. His name was William Edwin Dory. I am especially interested in period photographs and primary source documents. Of course any thing on Grandpa William.

Any information on the 1st Texas Rangers/ 30th Texas Cavalry

My Great Great Uncle, Vashel D. Johnson, rode with the 1st Texas Rangers. (Confederate) They were later renamed the 30th Texas Cavalry. They were also known as Gurley's Brigade. I am looking for anything on this unit. Especially period photographs and primary source documents. Of course anything on Uncle Vashel.
